IN CONVERSATION WITH: GOOSTAVO

From his shiny personality to  the dedication to his craft, GOOSTAVO has left a mark in the House of Indigo Hall of Fame. 

​His approach to music is, by nature, DIY; writing, recording and producing from his bedroom.

How I feel within myself always, interestingly, lines up with my songwriting. I feel changes in me, my music changes, and this latest project is just about this: looking myself in the mirror and embrace those changes"

His latest project is an EP called "AKA GOOSTAVO"

AKA GOOSTAVO depicts the journeythat Angus Bruce took to become GOOSTAVO; through an ADHD diagnosis at 21, a break up, the struggles of accepting adult life and moving form Southampton to London after graduating university. 

We had the pleasure of listening to it before its release, and can guarantee that GOOSTAVO has set the bar pretty high.

His lyrics are exposing of his true nature and depth as a human, the grooves are catchy and the overall sound is deliciously fresh and new while still referencing Angus' musical direction.

When so much of your person goes into your craft, the thin line separating your personal life to the public image you build gets thinner and thinner with each project you release. For Goostavo, changing his stage name was a significant part of this process.

"It's still me, I just feel free to expose myself in a different way. I can write about things I find really personal, but GOOSTAVO is a part of me that I only let out with music"

GOOSTAVO's debut EP is an introspective reflection upon his new era in life, and if this EP is the representation of a glimpse of Goostavo's artistry, we are quite sure he's going places.
